Each project represents a unique collaboration with the client, interpreting their wishes and enhancing their individual taste. A large proportion of work is for existing clients who return to us whenever or wherever they move. Karin Verzariu’s 30 years’ experience encompasses all aspects of design, from homes to corporate headquarters.
Karin and her team at Key Interiors enjoy combining various design periods or work on exclusively contemporary or traditional interiors. The company offers a full design, tender and project management service and can advise on the purchase and display of antiques and works of art. Environmental sustainability and energy efficiencies are important elements within the design process.

Key Interiors also welcomes inquiries from architects, managing agents, developers and surveyors and will assist with all interior design.

Karin has lectured on interior design in Beijing and Moscow and taken part in panel discussions in Chicago. A Member of the British Institute of Interior Design for over 25 years, and until recently a Director, Karin is on the Institute’s interview panel for new membership.
Key Interiors produce bespoke designs realised by highly skilled craftsmen, cabinet makers and contractors. The team enjoy designing unique pieces to suit clients’ specific requirements, and advise on the purchase of antiques and works of art. They are adept at creating functional and practical spaces without any loss of aesthetics and produce clear drawings and colour schemes to make the plans very understandable to clients.
Karin has recently launched Black & Key, showcasing her elegant collection of luxurious furniture and accessories. All pieces are meticulously hand made in England in beautiful veneers with perfectly polished nickel and inlaid mother of pearl details. The collection can be customised to suit.
A stunning contemporary apartment in Neo Bankside. The iconic building, designed by the acclaimed architect Roger Stirk Harbour & Partners, is adjacent to Tate Modern and the Millenium Bridge, and provides a striking background for our designs.
An elegant apartment adjoining the Savoy Hotel in London. Environmental sustainability and energy efficiencies are being considered as much as the originality and practicality of the design.
A charming listed Arts and Crafts house in London’s Bedford Park.
The team undertook a complete re-design of a listed Regent’s Park house by the architect John Nash. Particular features are inlaid marble floors in the entrance, hallway and lift, parquetry floors in the reception rooms, granite and onyx bathrooms, elegant soft furnishings, built in wardrobes and fitted units.
The company carried out the substantial refurbishment of a luxurious Art Deco inspired London penthouse, incorporating the latest hi-tech and “Smart House” controls. This penthouse won the 2009 Lighting Design Award for a domestic project.
Our work abroad included a large apartment in Geneva and a 1829s listed vial near Montreux. Soft furnishings and bespoke furniture were shipped from the UK and installed. The apartment was re-configured to allow for a guest wing. Karin’s fluency in French and German facilitates communication with overseas clients and local project managers.
For a listed Arts and Crafts house by East Sussex, by Norman Shaw, we designed four bathrooms, decorative lighting and soft furnishings and transformed the interior.
For an apartment in Colchester we designed the living areas, bathrooms and the roof terrace in great detail, including glazed sand blasted doors and bespoke cabinetry.
We carried out the refurbishment of a Knightsbridge Mansion block, which included all lighting and flooring.
We worked with the developers to create up-to-date interiors for new build apartments in West London.
For a medical association, we carried out a major refurbishment in keeping with the period style of its flagship headquarters, a listed house by Robert Adam in Portland Place.
